According to the 2016 Global Manufacturing Competitiveness Index (GMCI) published by Deloitte Global, India is expected to become the fifth largest manufacturing country in the world. Furthermore, in light of the Hon'ble Prime Minister's flagship 'Make in India' and 'Skill India' initiatives aimed at establishing India as a manufacturing hub on a global scale, there is a need for effective industry-academia collaboration on today's technical challenges, latest research trends, and advance revolutions influencing the future of the mechanical, material, and manufacturing industries. The conference will bring together academia and researchers to discuss current research and develop effective material and manufacturing industry strategies.
